Este artículo introduce los principales aspectos de la Política Nacional De Inteligencia Artificial, la que fue promulgada en Chile durante el año 2021, y que pretende cumplir sus objetivos en los próximos diez años. También, plantea la preocupación frente al inminente avance de la inteligencia artificial, y al riesgo que supone para la libertad humana, específicamente en lo que pensar de manera libre respecta. El punto de partida del análisis es comprender que la inteligencia artificial significa razonar como lo haría un ser humano. En consecuencia, aceptar los beneficios que la inteligencia artificial aporta, ignorando sus peligros, es uno de los mayores riesgos que enfrenta la libertad humana. Para evitar tal situación, el artículo plantea los desafíos que en Chile quedan pendientes.
