Este texto presenta una sistematización de los principales aspectos de la Ley de Inteligencia Artificial aprobada recientemente en la Unión Europea, en especial en lo relativo a su ámbito de aplicación, prácticas prohibidas, sistemas de alto riesgo, institucionalidad y el régimen sancionatorio aplicable. Tras lo cual expondremos cinco consideraciones y reflexiones finales que permitirán al lector analizar su contenido en profundidad más allá de los requisitos formales. Dicho análisis resulta fundamental considerando no solo los efectos extraterritoriales que tendrá la ley una vez que entre en vigencia, sino que, además, porque esta regulación se convertirá en un hito normativo que influenciará las regulaciones que surjan en otros países.

This article aims to systematise the main aspects of the AI Act recently approved in the European Union, in particular with regard to its scope, prohibited practices, high-risk systems, the institutional framework and the applicable sanctions regime. This is followed by five considerations and final reflections that will allow the reader to do an in-depth analysis of the content of the Act beyond the formal requirements. This analysis is essential, not only because of the extraterritorial effects that the law will have once it enters into force, but also because this regulation will become a milestone that will influence the regulations that will emerge in other countries.
